Bronx, NY

This 1960 building at the Bronx Psychiatric Center Campus in the Bronx, NY which was originally designed as the administration building and later used as the Outpatient clinic was redesigned to become the Wellness Recovery Center. APA was entrusted with the task of conducting a preliminary study which included programming and preparing conceptual plans for the proposed use. This study led to detailed design development and construction documents for the comprehensive interior and exterior renovation including structural modifications and a complete MEP upgrade. The interior renovation comprised of the addition of a new open stair, an elevator, a commercial kitchen, a multipurpose hall, a dance and yoga studio, fitness facilities, offices and a healthcare suite.
