Curtain-wall Replacement At GWB Administration Building
George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal, NY

The existing 80,000 sft. 3 story high administration building located in Fort Lee, New Jersey was designed in the 1960’s International Style with glazed brick panels in-filled with glass and metal panel curtain wall system. The scope of this project included replacing the existing 52-year-old curtain wall system and restoring the existing glazed brick masonry panels.  The proposed design not only increases the building’s energy efficiency using tinted low-E insulating glazing units and strategic interior window treatments but updates the building’s aesthetics to a more contemporary architectural expression balanced within the original masonry façade panels. The new fields of glass are interrupted by minimalist vertical feature strips, lending a more subtle expression to the façade.
