Restrooms Redesign at Jamaica Airtrain Station
Queens, NY

APA designed and managed the construction for the expansion of the public restrooms at the Jamaica AirTrain Station. The project doubles the number of facilities available. The project was the prototype for AIRPORT PLANNING STANDARDS. The design incorporated trough sinks, Dyson combination faucet/hand dryers. The stalls are designed to be over-sized with the doors swinging out to facilitate access with luggage and to improve customer experience. APA worked with the architectural firm SOM who provided design details and finishes.
